I got back into my classroom this week and this is the beautiful mess that I created! Woof! I excel and unpacking boxes...I'm just not so great at putting it all away. So, after two days, my room still looks like this.
Remember how I said I wanted my desk removed? Well, it happened!!! I got this beautiful new table instead! I'm thrilled! Right now I'm thinking I might use it for our classroom computer and a writing organization station. We shall see, I'm known for changing my mind frequently.
It doesn't look like much now, but I'm really excited about my new teacher area using my small group table. Can we talk about all of the gorgeous natural light coming through the classroom windows!? Our school bought new blinds for our classrooms this year and I'm loving how much brighter my room looks already!
One project I did finish was updating my classroom mailboxes with this fabulous chevron contact paper! You can purchase it from Amazon HERE.
Hopefully I'm not the only one out there who's feeling a tad overwhelmed about getting ready for a new school year! I'll be back soon with more updated progress...hopefully! :)
Simply love your new desk idea/area. I am just about to order new furniture for our three kinder classrooms and have decided 1 of those group teaching desks for each classroom. It has been wonderful to see you using this in your area. Think you might have to move to Australia, we need you!

What is that hanging above your cute new table? I must get a closer look. It looks like something that I should probably have in my life. Your mess really is beautiful because it's all my favorite colors. Hurry up and finish so I can see all the fab pics of everything completed. Seriously, quit reading my comment and get to work!

It's coming along great! Looks like you're ready for a fun year in third grade :)
ReplyDeleteI'm totally overwhelmed with the start of school. I can't get into my room yet and am moving to a new school and teaching 1st grade (which I've never done). So I have no idea what my room looks like, what my materials are and what I have to work with AND I'm driving my oldest down to West Virginia for her freshman year of college on Friday. Overwhelmed might be my middle name :)

ReplyDeleteI am loving your classroom! Thank you for the kind words about my blog. I finally kicked myself in gear to design something a little brighter. Hope you are having a good week back!
